Five members of the Kennesaw State men's and women's track and field team competed in the preliminary round of the NCAA Championships in Jacksonville, Florida at Hodges Stadium on Thursday.

The Kennesaw State track and field teams will be well represented competing in the NCAA Preliminary Rounds at Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida from May 28-30.

Three athletes on the Kennesaw State men and women's track and field teams have been named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference team.

Kennesaw State's Joyce Mattagliano, was voted by the coaches Atlantic Sun Most Outstanding Freshmen Performer for her strong performance in her first outdoor championship.

After day one of the Atlantic Sun Championship, the Kennesaw State women's track and field team knew they had some ground to make up on Saturday. Despite a strong comeback, they came up just short losing to Jacksonville by 57.50 points.
