Daniel Haugh, a professional athlete representing New York Athletic Club, produced the best 35-pound weight throw performance in global history with a fourth-round effort of 86-5.50 (26.35m) at the USATF Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center in New Mexico. Haugh eclipsed the 1995 world all-time best of 84-10.25 (25.86m) achieved by fellow American Lance Deal.
